Aaron Dimoff
Ontario born Bass-Baritone Aaron Dimoff has gained a reputation as a versatile, powerhouse vocalist across western Canada and beyond. After studying with renowned Canadian baritones Kevin McMillan and Ted Baerg at the University of Western Ontario, and earning his Masters degree in Music, Aaron was offered a position with the Calgary Opera Emerging Artists in 2013. Aaron has since been rising in demand while keeping regular appearances with his home company, Calgary Opera.
He has upcoming engagements with both Edmonton Opera and Calgary Opera, in their productions of Elektra and Turandot respectively. Concert appearances will include the Mozart Requiem with the Bow Valley Chorus, and the Durufle Requiem with the Calgary Bach Society.
2016 fall highlights included singing the Father in Hansel and Gretel with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the Calgary Opera Summer Festival; the summer of 2016 had him singing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Calgary Civic Symphony, and Carmina Burana with the Bow Valley Chorus; spring 2016 had him singing Der Sprecher in Calgary Opera’s Die Zauberflote, and Zuniga in Edmonton Opera’s Carmen.
Previous seasons included a wide variety of roles in Calgary such as British Major in Silent Night, Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Collatinus in The Rape of Lucretia, and Des Grieux in Le Portait de Manon.
