Alisa Cassola
During the 2017-2018 Season, Ms Cassola sang the Soprano Solo in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff with the Nashua Choral Society during their Summer Sing. Ms Cassola also sang the soprano solo of Saint-Saen’s Christmas Oratorio with the Choral Art Society. In the spring of 2018, Ms Cassola sang the role of Molly and with the ensemble of Boston Lyric Opera in ThreePenny Opera. In March of 2018, Ms Cassola placed 3rd in MetroWest Opera’s annual competition.
Ms Cassola is a member of the Boston Lyric Opera professional ensemble . Ms Cassola has sung with St. Petersburg Opera (Florida) singing Gianetta in L’Elisir d’Amore by Donizetti and Cape Cod Opera singing Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen. In 2006, Ms Cassola made her Boston Lyric Opera debut singing Annina from Verdi’s La Traviata, Ms Cassola toured with Opera New England singing the role of Marie in Daughter of the Regiment. In 2006, Ms Cassola was a member of the highly acclaimed Glimmerglass Young American Artist Program where she covered the roles of Barena in Jenufa, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and the Old Nun in the world premiere of The Greater Good. Ms Cassola has also sung with the Boston Opera Project singing Amy (Little Women), The Lowell House Opera singing Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), and with OperaTunity of Stoughton singing the Fairy (Cendrillon)
An Avid singer of Oratorio Ms Cassola has sung the soprano solo in Verdi’s Requiem, Puccini’s Messa Solenelle, Parker’s Hora Novissima, Mozart’s Grand Mass in C Minor, Solemn Vespers, Coronation Mass, Handel’s Messiah, Faure Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Benjamin Brittin’s Rejoice in the Lamb.
Ms Cassola received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory.
