Maria Gulik
Maria Gulik was born in 1983 in Kargopol Arhangelsk, a province of Russia. After studying at the Academy of Arts Theatre between 2002 and 2007, she devoted herself to singing with Badri Maisuradze and Galina Vishnevskaya at the “Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre” Since 2007, she is also an actress in the whole “Laboratory of Dmitry Krymov” Russia and participated in the show who wins the Edinburgh International Festival. She appeared in numerous productions: - “The Tsar’s Bride”, Rimsky-Korsakov (Lyubasha) - “Eugene Onegin,” Tchaikovsky (Nyanya) - “Boris Godunov”, Mussorgsky (Shinkarka) - “Rigoletto” Verdi (Maddalena) - “The Rape of Lucretia,” Benjamin Britten (Lucretia) - “Sweeney Todd” (Mrs. Lovett) - “Moskva Cheriomushky” Dmitry Shostakovich (Vava) - “HM Smeshannaya Tehnika” Kuzma Bodrov (Ukrainian Women) - “Eugene Onegin” Pyotr Tchaikovsky (Olga)
She participated in the show “In Paris” produced by Baryshnikov Arts Centre in association with The Laboratory of Dmitriy Krymov, traveling show with Mikhail Baryshnikov in the lead role: - Korjamo Theater, Helsinki, Finland - Noorderzon Festival, Groningen, Netherlands - Théâtre National de Chaillot, Paris, France - Suzanne Dellal Center, Tel Aviv, Israel - The Broad Stage, Santa Monica, LA, USA - Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Berkeley, CA, USA - Spoleto Festival, Spoleto, Italy Lincoln Center, New York, USA
In 2012, she participated in “Midsummer Night’s Dream (as you like it)” for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the International Chekhov Festival in association avecThe Laboratory of Dmitriy Krymov. This show is set in the First World Shakespeare Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon (UK) and was awarded the Grand Prize at the Edinburgh International Festival.
