Baritone

Misha Kiria is a Georgian Baritone. He is best known for his performances as Falstaff in Verdi’s opera Falstaff, and as Dr. Bartolo in Rossini’s opera Il barbiere di Siviglia. In 2013, he performed the role of Blansac in Rossini’s opera La scala di seta at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Kiria made his Verdi Opera Festival debut in Teatro Regio di Parma on 15 October 2017, in the title role of Falstaff in Verdi’s opera Falstaff. Dutch National Opera debut in Amsterdam City on 10 November 2018, in the role of Dr. Bartolo in Rossini’s opera Il barbiere di Siviglia, as a substitute for Ambrogio Maestri. He made his Teatro Real debut in Madrid City on 24 April 2019, in the title role of Falstaff in Verdi’s opera Falstaff. In 2015-2019 he portrayed Lord Sidney in Il viaggio a Reims, Dr. Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Fra Meglitone in La forza del destino, Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In 2019, he debuted in the title role of Il Paria (Zarete) Donizetti’s opera Il Paria at the Barbican Hall in London with Opera Rara.
