British mezzo-soprano, Stephanie Windsor-Lewis, completed her studies as a young artist at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Prior to this she studied at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School at the Royal College of Music with Ryland Davies and Tim Evans-Jones.

Operatic engagements have included ‘Giovanna Seymour’ Donizetti Anna Bolena at The Metropolitan Opera in New York (understudy), ‘Rosina’ Rossini Il Barbiere di Siviglia, ‘Madama Rosa’ Donizetti Il Campanello, & ‘Cesca’ Puccini Gianni Schicchi for the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, ‘Suzuki’ Puccini Madame Butterfly & ’Lucia’ Rossini La gazza ladra at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, ‘La Macchina’ by Raffaele Grimaldi for the Biennale di Venezia and Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, ‘Meg Page’ Verdi Falstaff Longborough Opera/Opera Project, ’Cenerentola’ Rossini Cenerentola, ‘Ottavia’ L’incoronazione di Poppea, and ‘Baba the Turk’ Stravinsky The Rake’s Progress.

Stephanie’s concert engagements include a gala concert with the esteemed tenor Josè Carreras in Singapore where she was a featured soloist, Berio’s Sinfonia for the Lucerne Festival with Pierre Boulez, Handel Dixit Dominus, Haydn Nelson Mass, and de Falla’s El Sombreros des Picos all at St John’s, Smith Square, London and Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria at the Royal Albert Hall.

She won first prizes in the Benvenuto Franci competition and the Premio Crescendo Competition in Florence, and was a finalist in the Ernst Haefligger Competition in Switzerland.

Stephanie is soon to make her English National Opera debut as Suzuki in Madame Butterfly.
